A quaint and romantic wedding venue in Portugal with a lush garden
Beginning of April 11 professional photographers from Germany and Austria followed the call of The Wedding Selection to come to Portugal and attend the 1. Photo- and Video-Workshop. Here they together worked on developing their style and abilities in fine art wedding photography and gained knowledge in combining photo and video (fusion) in an amazing location.
It was amazing in many different ways.
I was asked to develop a style concept for the workshop and to give a small session on styling of details. These pictures are the result of an amazing workhshop.

Blue and white patterned tiles were a major source of inspiaration
I was inspired by Azulejos, hand painted tiles whose floral and geometric patterns often come in blue and white colors and are very typical for Portugal. These tiles embellish many Portuguese houses and walls. Our location, Quinta de Sao Thiago is an old Portuguese manor from the 16. century, that is nestled into the hills of Sintra.
A matching table decoration for this destination wedding
Golden flatware and small brass tapper candle holders create a golden accent.
The delicate mouth blown vases were made in a small german city famous for glass art in the 80ies. They match perfectly the color concept.
The gorgeous wisteria creats a beautiful atmosphere
Beginning of April Wisteria is in full bloom in Portugal. The beautiful long and fragrant flowers of this amazing plant climb literally everywhere from walls and roof to trees. The blue-violett flowers harmonize perfectly with larkspur and monkshood, that we arranged in single stems in delicate glass vases.
All these flowers are also used in the amazing bridal bouquets.
