A Romantic Dusty Blue Wedding at a Castle Bensberg in Germany
It must have been love that provoked Elector Johann Wilhelm to build a new castle for his wife. The Bensberg Castle, finished in 1711, was created by a Venetian architect and served as a hunting château for the elector. Today, this grand building no longer hosts primarily royal fêtes but functions as a five-star hotel. This scenery, created by love, was perfect for our dusty blue wedding theme. The elegant appearance of this wedding castle in Germany perfectly matched our choice of a dusty blue color palette.
Schloss Bensberg is a very beautiful and exclusive wedding venue for those dreaming of a dusty blue wedding in Germany.
Styling of bride and groom
The styling exudes a vernal and fresh vibe. The bride wears a dress with a tulle skirt and a corsage top made of precious lace. Her beautiful, floor-length veil, rimmed with fine lace, complements the look perfectly. The bride’s hair is loosely done up, with a few strands falling out of the updo, paired with subtle makeup for a natural appearance. Alternatively, a hairband instead of a veil can give the styling a unique finishing touch. Choose the band according to your jewelry. We provided her with a hairband featuring small golden blossoms to pair with the bride’s delicate golden necklace.
The velvet wedding theme is seamlessly integrated into the groom’s styling as well. He wears a fine velvet bow-tie that matches the dusty blue of his suit.
A Velvet Wedding Theme in a Dusty Blue Color Palette
The fresh, minimalistic feeling seen in the styling extends to the decoration. On a white tablecloth, three small centerpieces have been arranged with golden candle sticks of different heights and golden cutlery. Menus are placed on the folded napkins, and a delicate dusty blue velvet ribbon holds this arrangement in place, adding another detail to our velvet wedding theme.
The elegant, white wedding cake is decorated with blue details to match the dusty blue wedding theme. The cream color of the chair cushions harmonizes effortlessly with the color of the tall candles. The romantic ceremony takes place outdoors to showcase the stunning setting of this German wedding castle, Schloss Bensberg. A wedding arch made of airy fabric, decorated with a dreamy flower garland, adds that extra special touch when saying "YES."
Floristry
The spring-time freshness is evident in the floristry. White, green, and soft peach tones dominate the floral accents, featuring apple blossom, clematis, peonies, and lilac. These are found in the bridal bouquet, centerpieces, and boutonnieres. The boutonnieres are arranged on a golden tray on dusty blue velvet. The bride’s dreamy bouquet is accessorized with velvet ribbons, and the flower garland decorating the wedding arch is another special eye-catcher for this dusty blue wedding.
Stationary
A wonderful detail of the stationery is a map marking the location. This map creates anticipation and curiosity among the guests, encouraging them to explore your wedding venue. Another element of the stationery includes a handmade drawing of Schloss Bensberg, offering a foretaste of your wedding location and rounding off the paper arrangement. The magical calligraphy in soft bluish tones allows the dusty blue wedding theme to peek through once more.
