A colour scheme that has always created so much joy for me is natural – taking inspiration from nature, using rich greens and crisp whites. When the Pantone color of the year for 2017 was announced as greenery, I knew this presented the perfect opportunity to create a beautiful and unique wedding look.

Gathering together a team of inspirational professionals, we set out to create a truly stunning setting, inspired by the Pantone color of the year: greenery…

With styling, hair and make-up completed by Ria Saage, the bride wore a beautiful classically cut dress by Fräulein Liebe. Fitted at the waist, with a deep lace back and lace cap sleeves, the waist was enhanced further with a tan leather belt, enhancing the smallest part of the body for an ultra feminine finish. The groom wore a deep blue suit, which was the perfect compliment, set against the lush green backdrop and in contrast with the crisp white dress worn by the bride.

She held a bouquet made up of fresh greenery, ferns and stems, completed with crisp white blooms. Secured in a fishtail plait, the bride’s hair was finished off with green fern, which complimented her red hair perfectly.

The bright and airy outdoor setting was an obvious choice, to enhance the greenery colour scheme further. Stood among the backdrop of the clear blue water and the green landscapes, the model held a tall terrarium at arms length, presented in green glass.

Bright white table linen sat under simple white plates and a white runner down the middle offered the perfect background for the blooms and glassware. The table was adorned with white flowers and green stems created by Milles Fleurs. The floral table settings took centre stage, and nestled in among the flowing leaves and petals sat clear crystal cut glassware.

Upon a table also sat an astonishing array of foods inspired by nature. Figs and grapes in deep and rich purple stood out among the wheels of cheese, still in their soft orange wax casing. Green sprigs of rosemary and freshly baked bred finished off this rustic feast provided by mundus Hannover.

The wedding candle hand calligraphed with ” to have and to hold” was designed by Nicole Sprekelmann – Nicnillas Ink.

Wedding stationary simply transcribed in black ink and created by Poesie der Feder enhanced the simple yet captivating theme.

The fine art wedding styling was provided by us. The aim was to capture the way in which colors found in every day nature offer the perfect palette for an exquisite yet fresh and bright wedding theme.

The day was captured by the talented Anja Schneemann, who translated the vibrant theme perfectly through the imagery shot on the day.
