Are you planning your and your best friend's hen party this year? And are vendor's trays, colourful Hawaiian chains or handcarts not quite your thing? Then it's worth thinking a little outside the box and leaving familiar and clichéd ideas and goals out of the equation.

When was the last time you had the opportunity to spend a weekend full of adventure with your best friends? So why not pack up the girls for a long weekend and fly off to the sun? Many cool party hot spots and sun destinations within Europe can be reached relatively quickly and are also relatively cheap to get to outside the classic holiday season.

One of these hot spots is Santorini. The Greek island has a lot to offer: crystal-clear blue sea, warm temperatures, snow-white houses, picturesque views, breathtaking sunsets and an exciting nightlife - the perfect location for exploring the island during the day or relaxing by the pool and popping the corks with your best friends in the evening.

Together with Anja von der Dream Wedding Agency Braunschweig and the photographer Anja Schneemann we explored this wonderful island for you and captured a 50s-style bridal party in magnificent pictures.

The perfect location

We rented a typical holiday home with a pool for the girls. It was perfect for relaxing by the pool during the day and just floating around on the oversized pool floats.

Black and white have been combined here with colourful accents in peach, coral and pink. This puts you in a good mood and stands out wonderfully against the white walls of the building.

The matching 50s-style hairstyles are lady-like and glamorous. The peach and rosé of the long summer dresses harmonise perfectly with the colourful, cheerful bouquets of flowers.

The colourful bouquets reflect the nuances of the dresses in a wonderful way. Bright yellow and orange immediately attract everyone's attention, while peach, blush and a delicate rosé tone are more restrained. Nevertheless, the colours flatter each other. A pink silk ribbon encircles the bride's bouquet and thus provides a further colourful impulse.

Decoration on the theme of summer

In keeping with the summery pool party theme, the decoration is very colourful. Juicy fruit was arranged on a wooden tray. Yellow pillar candles, fresh leaves and the bridal bouquet can be used to decorate this. The result is a tropical-looking cocktail bar that promises refreshment by the pool on a hot summer's day.
