Ours definitely are – in Portugal to be exact. Right there is where the pictures of our colorful destination wedding shooting arose. The Palacio de Seteais acted as a breathtakingly beautiful setting, where we let a wedding scenery with a tropical color explosion come to life. A destination wedding in Portugal offers various possibilities to design the wedding. We went with radiant pink, rose, juicy orange and bright yellow to atomise pure joy and really set the mood for hot summer days underneath the Portuguese sun. A roaring wedding celebration included! We love Portugal for a destination wedding so much, and if you do too, then take a look at our post about the best wedding locations in Portugal!
Styling
The styling is kept rather minimalistic. The wonderfully flowy bridal dress with spaghetti straps and a corsage top harmonise like naturally with the Mediterranean wedding theme. Nevertheless it takes a step back and makes room for the majestic flower crown. Hair and make-up also convey a more muted look. The golden strappy sandals that were combined with the bridal look underline the essence of the overall styling once more.
Decoration
Antique rooms with high, artistically decorated seelings and walls, softly clinking crystal chandeliers, French doors, heavy curtains and fluffy rugs, thereto a few little golden tables. Those things make up the charm of Palacio de Seteais and create a very special atmosphere. Just the right szenery for a magical destination wedding. The decoration calls for golden cutlery and candlesticks just like the venue with it’s golden details demonstrates. We arranged floor-length white table cloths with this because they make the perfect base so that the centerpiece with it’s lucious flowers is asserted. Skinny, white candles shine their light on the table styling and the guests can take a seat on comfortable chairs.
Floristry
The minimalistic bridal styling as well as the muted colors of the wedding venue really give a lot of room for the floristry and it’s fireworks of color. The bride’s flower crown and bouquet likewise the centerpiece consist of a bunch of coloful and playful flowers.
Those flowers can also be found in the bridesmaids bouquets once again. Furthermore they embellish the arrangement of wedding cakes. The groom’s boutonniere has the same purple, orange, pink, yellow and green accents of color.
Stationary
Fine, grey calligraphy on delicate, ivory laid paper invites the guests to this summery wedding celebration in Portugal. A special detail of the stationary is the drawing of Palacio de Seteais. With this lovely detail the guests already get a feel of the venue they can look forward to when they open their mail.
