Wedding at Villa Catureglio in Tuscany

August 23

Villa Catureglio is located in the heart of the Italian countryside, surrounded by lush Tuscan hills and olive groves as far as the eye can see. This sleepy estate seems to be lost in a dream of centuries past. For our shoot with Octavia + Klaus and Milles Fleurs, we woke it up from its slumber. Without further ado, we transformed the villa into the backdrop for a beautiful destination wedding in Tuscany.

Styling

The styling is very modern and romantic, yet understated. The wedding dress looks very modern with its deep cut-outs at the back and the front of the bodice. Spaghetti straps and a lace overlay reinforce this look, but also add a romantic touch. The bridal hairstyle of loosely braided, half-up hair and a playful headpiece made of flowers adds another romantic element to the bridal styling. The bride also wears dainty gold earrings and a delicate necklace to accentuate the elfin look.

A dark velvet suit and accessories in blush tones create a look for the groom that perfectly matches the bride's outfit.

Decoration

As a matter of course, the olive grove became the location for the wedding dinner. A table and rustic wooden chairs were placed under the olive trees. We combined this with a white linen tablecloth that fell loosely to the floor, gold cutlery and handmade crockery. The organic shapes and the unusual soft pink watercolour pattern are particularly beautiful on this porcelain. The French wine glasses with a swirl pattern from the 1970s/1980s provide a beautiful colour accent. The fine table decoration with its special details is rounded off with elegant brass candle holders.

Floristry

The floral concept behind this dreamy destination wedding in Tuscany is inspired by gardens. What makes it so special is the combination of lush green olive branches and elegant English garden roses. The result is an interplay that not only harmonises perfectly in terms of colour.

Stationery

The golden details already seen in the table decorations reappear in the stationery. The romantically calligraphed lettering is accentuated with gold leaf. The result is a wonderfully harmonious look of gold and olive tones that perfectly emphasises the Italian flair of this destination wedding in Tuscany.

For the Tuscan dream wedding, Maria Shtelle not only designed enchanting calligraphy for invitations and menus. A special highlight of the stationery is also the extraordinary background of the wedding ceremony. On airy, almost transparent cotton muslin, a poem that is particularly close to the hearts of the bridal couple can be found in artistic lettering. If you are looking for an alternative to the classic wedding arch, this is an exceptionally beautiful idea. Would you like to get married in Tuscany?
