Spring wedding with an artistic wedding concept and lots of little details
The official start of spring is not far away and we can already smell the sweet scent of the little blossoms stretching their heads towards the sun. Soft light, delicate flowers and a gentle breeze create a picturesque landscape full of surprises. Small ladybirds or colourful butterflies are often only noticed at second glance. When you see them, you can no longer deny that they bring so much beauty to nature. With our spring wedding inspiration, we have tried to create a wedding concept that surprises with small details and uses matching contrasts. If you're enjoying the first signs of spring as much as we are, why not take a look at our most beautiful colour concepts for a spring wedding in!
A picturesque Castle with morbid charm
The location, Hemhofen Castle, is a very old building. Its history can even be traced back to 1156. It has been in the hands of a noble family since 1722. The estate consists of the castle, other buildings, several fields and woodlands and a beautiful garden. At first glance, the estate may seem a little old. However, it has a lot of charm and authenticity. It almost looks like a blank canvas just waiting for its first brushstrokes. Something like this is of course perfect for a wedding stylist, as it opens up countless possibilities for different wedding concepts and decorations. The somewhat unfinished look of the location is also wonderfully suited to spring, as this also often begins with unfinished nature.
The idea behind the wedding concept
With this wedding inspiration, it was very important to us to create a metaphor. The unfinished look of the wedding location was perfect for staging the bride as a kind of painter. The metaphor of a painting bride is unusual and artistic. When developing the wedding concept, we were fascinated by Dutch still lifes. These are often much darker, but utilise sophisticated depictions of shadow and light. The motifs for these still lifes are often flowers. There is a deeper meaning behind each depiction. Butterflies and beetles can be discovered on closer inspection. And even these small details have symbolic meanings. Fascinated by this art, we have created our own interpretation of it.
Spring flowers in a beautiful colour theme
The wedding decorations are mainly in warm shades of yellow and orange. Both colours are reminiscent of happy spring days when the sun casts a golden glow over the world. White makes these colours shine even brighter. A bright blue breaks through the otherwise monochrome colour palette and underlines the theme by highlighting small details of the wedding decorations. Gold plays a role here as an accent colour.
As flowers were a special feature of Dutch art, the focus for our wedding decorations is also on flower bouquets. We have used typical spring flowers that bloom in March and April. Imperial crowns, tulips, poppies, ranunculus, helleborus and Persian fritillaries were used for this.
The styling comes with many small details
The wedding decorations are based on the interplay of opposites. The roughness of the location against the delicacy of the flowers. Very delicate glass place settings with a filigree gold rim are combined with genuine porcelain crockery from the 1950s. The crystal glasses and the different chairs again create contrasts. Again and again, beautiful butterflies can be discovered, which, like the paintings, represent small hidden details.
The bride's styling is also based on the still lifes. The wedding dress is very special and definitely an eye-catcher due to its unusual design. The pattern and the high collar look a little austere, but the girlish sophistication of the cap sleeves and the tulle skirt with little dots takes back some of this rigour.
